Artist Statement:
1.The design is a simple one with a cup and then a lid for it. The cup is made of a slab on the bottom and one curled to make the wall of it. It also has a handle on top of it so you can pull the top off much easier.
2.An element of design that this piece uses is form. It accomplishes this by being a 3d shape so you can see and feel the depth, width, and height of it.
3.The piece doesn't have any real cultural meaning or purpose. It is just a shape that I thought would be easy to make.
4. I don't particularly like this vessel because the sides of the cup and the edge of it aren't even. The lid and the cup also don't match up that well so when you put the lid on it looks like it doesn't fit.
